Santiago was skittish but she was able to keep him at bay as she walked him on foot. There was no point in keeping the stud skittish when she could easily talk to him on foot much better. Morana had left early that morning from the tavern she had been sleeping in for the night to go towards the place Gideon would have spoken of. Riverrock. She had ridden most of the way up until Santiago had gotten a lot closer to the meeting place had she gotten off. Slowly she moved closer and closer until she stopped on the outskirts of what looked like a burned down village. She wasn't sure about it.

With some minor trading business and another night of preaching to attend to in Miador, Gideon and Morana parted ways with the plan that they’d meet in Riverrock a fortnight later. The former Tyrgerian trudged into the outer limits of the wasted town just after dark.

Exhausted from a long day of walking, (Gideon had opted to trust his own two feet this time instead of a steed’s), he crested the final hill that led into the city proper -- not that you could call it that anymore. It was a desolate place, dogs and children alike roving the streets for scraps of rotting food. He saw a familiar figure on the horizon and moved towards it. “Good evening, Morana. I trust you had a safe journey here?’

She had been looking towards the town below, her hand absently brushing against Santiago's right cheek as she stood on his left when Gideon's voice came to her ears. Blinking she would turn so that her back was towards Santiago so that she could look over to Gideon. "I did, though you look exhausting. No steed this time?" A tease. She had met him only by chance of his steed taking off on him and leaving him basically stranded by the river. It was something she just wasn't about to let go so easily but hey, at least he had made sure to not let it happen this time around.

Gideon shot her a wry smile. His riding already left something to be desired. Pairing that with a jittery horse and his hard meeting with the ground was inevitable. Still, it had brought him one of his first followers, so it was worth the tumble. “Nothing a good meal and a snooze won’t fix.”

Gesturing outward as if to usher her down the street, he fell into step alongside her and her horse. “We’ll be speaking at the tavern tonight -- or what’s left of it. Perhaps while I’m addressing the crowd you could mill about and ask anyone if they’ve seen anything strange. People with unusual powers, explosions, acute natural disasters, that sort of thing.”

She could chuckle at him only to let it slide into silence as he began to walk down the street. It only caused her to follow and Morana would listen to him speak and basically address her. "Sounds like a plan. And what do you want me to tell them if they have?" She was curious on that part. Though the sound of Santiago's hooves hitting the street ground caused her to be calm. She wasn't really sure if she was going to like the idea of a c r o w d but it was about time she found out right?

“Ask for as many details as you can. We’ll only follow the most solid leads so we’re not sent on a fool’s errand around the continent.” Many citizens of Eudocia would consider this endeavor exactly that - a fool’s errand, but Gideon saw challenge where others saw impossibility.

Approaching the dilapidated tavern, he stopped in the courtyard. A few chickens pecked at his feet and he shook his boot to shoo them away. “Come, let’s get something to eat first. It’s no good preaching on an empty stomach.” The night air was crisp and Gideon absently smoothed his hand over Santiago’s neck and shoulder as he waited for the girl to tether the horse.

Okay, so ask as much as you could bascially. But only find the ones with the most solid leads. Check. Morana wasn't good in crowds so she would keep to the outskirts for most of it unless she found some one interesting or put off. It was that simple for her to even think about. Think he spoke of food and instantly her stomach rumbled. Morana hadn't eaten much as of late and had just made sure Santiago had eaten. So she would nod her head and move to where she could tie up Santiago, whispering something to him before following Gideon into the tavern.
